La Croce del Monte Sobretta
per non dimenticare

In 1968 a group of young people from Brugherio Parish erected an imposing cross on top of Mount Sobretta in remembrance and memory of the young soldiers who fought here in these mountains during World War I (1915 -1918).

The centuries-old tradition of placing a cross on the top of mountains is linked to various motivations experiences and events. Many of the hikes organized with CAI Valfurva arrive right at the foot of these characteristic and always unique wooden or metal artifacts .

On Saturday, August 24, with CAI and the Brugherio Parish group, it will be possible to retrace the paths of history and memory to the 3,297 summit of Mount Sobretta.

Escursione alla cima del Monte Sobretta con Marco Confortola

Marco Confortola, internationally renowned mountaineer, mountain guide and trainer, takes us on a tour of one of the most beautiful and scenic peaks in Alta Valtellina.

Thanks to the ascent by cable car up to 2,700 m, it will be possible to tackle the hike to the top of Sobretta with gradients and difficulties that are not too challenging and therefore suitable for everyone.

Under the guidance of Marco Confortola, the hike will be a unique experience full of anecdotes and advice, a day to enjoy together to fall more and more in love with the Mountains!

Emotions in MUSIC at altitude at the crack of dawn.
The peaks of Cresta Sobretta will be the natural stage for the Accordance Duo ( Accordion and Clarinet) concert while waiting for the first rays of sunlight to slowly rise behind the magnificent and imposing Mount Tresero.
The ascent by gondola takes a few minutes to the highest point, at 2800 m asl, and here amid sounds, lights and the warmth of the bonfire we will see the sunrise. The experience and excitement will continue at Sunny Valley where a breakfast full of authentic mountain flavors awaits us.

The ascent with the cable car takes you in a few minutes to the highest point, 2800 m above sea level, and here among sounds, lights and the warmth of the bonfire we will see the sunrise.
